Dr. Sami Case, Principal Investigator
Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences
Dr. Case holds a BSc in Neuroscience from Morehead State University and a PhD in Pharmacology from University of Kentucky. His dissertation work, supervised by Dr. Olivier Thibault, demonstrated that somatosensory neuronal networks are engaged during locomotion and are altered across age & sex. At CSU, he teaches neurobiology, physiology, and pharmacology for the Professional Veterinary Medicine program and undergraduate Neuroscience and Biomedical Sciences programs. Dr. Case's research explores the effectiveness of ungrading in science education in enhancing student motivation, critical thinking, and metacognition.
