Meet the Team

Dr. Sami Case, Principal Investigator

Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences

Dr. Case is a Kentucky-native, graduating with a BSc in Neuroscience from Morehead State University (Morehead, KY) and a PhD in Pharmacology from University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY). His dissertation work, supervised by Dr. Olivier Thibault, demonstrated that somatosensory neuronal networks are engaged during locomotion and are altered across age & sex. At CSU, he teaches neurobiology, physiology, and pharmacology for the Professional Veterinary Medicine program and undergraduate Neuroscience and Biomedical Sciences programs. Dr. Case's research explores the effectiveness of ungrading in science education in enhancing student motivation, critical thinking, and metacognition.

The Case Lab is open for students who are seeking experience in educational research.

We are currently recruiting a Master's student (must be a current CSU graduate student)!
